Feelings are so random. While one can feel very strongly about something, someone else can feel nothing at all, or at most very little. Why does this happen? Why can’t I make you feel how I feel?
When I look at this picture I feel tranquility and even safe. I certainly can feel its beauty and I feel appreciation for it as well. Maybe some of you can feel the same as me while others might feel anxious or even enclosed or threatened by the tides or the rocks.
These past few months have made me have many feelings. These have been crazy times. It is so difficult for me to see people that have such opposite ideologies from my own. We can have similar backgrounds and even be related but things that are so clear to me, seem to be completely foreign to them. Like they are deaf and blind to what is going on around them. These situations make me have fierce feelings. Anger, frustration and even fear. Anger is hard to control. This is a feeling that I am not comfortable with. How can people argue that women should not be able to determine what happens with their own bodies? How can men think they have the right to decide for women. How is it okay that we have a Supreme Court Justice that is a woman and doesn’t believe that women should decide what happens with their own bodies. This makes me feel anger. I have an older relative that believes that if a man can kill a fetus he is not fit to govern. This implies so many things. Of course, she is a strong Trump supporter and she is referring to Biden. She has no evidence that Joe Biden is pro-abortion and I would probably bet, as he is a devote Catholic, he probably is not pro-abortion and that’s what makes me so angry. Just because he’s a Democrat, she assumes he will put an abortion clinic in the back room of every Starbucks. There is a huge difference between being “pro-abortion” and believing that women, along with their doctors, have the right to chose what happens to them. There is no way to reason with these people. They say they are pro-life but they don’t care about the lives that are kept in cages on the border. Please read this story and even if you are pro-life, tell me how you feel after you read it.
